News

News gives your instance a front page, season announcements, rule changes, tournament results, maintenance windows, written and published from inside 5Stack rather than lost in a Discord channel.

Enable it from Settings → Application → News.

Reading

Players get a News section listing published articles with their cover image and teaser, and can mark as read to clear the unread indicator. A minimum role to view can be set, so you can publish internally to organizers before going public.

Writing

Article authoring is built in:

• Markdown editor with a live Write / Preview split, plus a full-post preview.
• Cover image upload (PNG / JPG / WEBP / GIF) with a crop tool and background removal, so logos sit cleanly on the page.
• Inline image uploads in the body.
• Title and teaser, the teaser is what shows in the news list.

Drafts and publishing

Posts save as drafts first and publish when you're ready. Published posts can be unpublished back to draft, edited, or deleted, and the manage screen shows a view count per post.
